Pastor

Our pastor, Bruce Scott, came to Shiloh in October 1988. He is Bi-Vocational. Bi-Vocational means he works another job full time. This means also that he is not available during the day for activities and events. But, it means the church is able to put more money into ministry and do more than it would if it had to pay a full time salary.

Bruce has a long career in Sales, Sales Management and Executive leadership. He has served serveral companies over the years as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Director of Marketing and National Sales Manger. His leadership skills help him as pastor of the church.

Bruce has been pastor of churches in Arkansas, North Carolina and Missouri since 1975. He was ordained by the Florida Street Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC on July 24, 1975. His first pastorate was at the Franklin Baptist Church in Franklin Arkansas. He has also been the pastor of Spring River Baptist Church, Hardy, AR; Broadway Baptist Church, St. Louis, MO; and Sorrells Grove Baptist Church in Morrisville, NC.

Bruce is married to Angela his wife of 21 years and they have one daughter Emiley. Emiley is 18 and a senior at Pacific High School in Pacific, MO.

Bruce enjoys reading, traveling, golf and most of all family time.

Youth Pastor

Our youth pastor grew up at Shiloh. His mother was a member when he was born the only church where John has ever been a member. John Hartmann joined the staff several years ago as the Co-Youth Leader. When the children's ministry grew Paula Lillard moved over to take care of the children and John took over as Youth Leader. Today he is more of a pastor to the youth than a Youth Leader. He leads spiritually. They have lots of fun but it's always punctuated with the Gospel and with a spiritual message. John really turned on to what God was doing in his life after attending Dare2Share and has had a real heart for youth and for people who need Jesus ever since. His first year taking our youth to Dare2Share there were 17 of them. This past February there were 35 and our youth attendence continues to grow. It's going to be exciting to see how many attend this year and what God will do with them.

John has a degree from University of Missouri at St. Louis in Elementary Education and teaches for a school in the Rockwood School District.

John is single and enjoys fishing and traveling to the Bahama's.

Choir Director

The Choir Director is Angela Scott. Angela is the pastor's wife. She went to Missour Baptist College to major in music before she transfered to Jewish Hospital School of Nursing where she got her nursing degree. She comes from a very musical family and has great skill and passion about music. She does an outstanding job with our choir and special music. She also plays the piano during the worship services.
